Glenn Catania began his Bujinkan training as a student of Joe Maurantonio, Shihan in 1985. He first met Hatsumi Soke in 1991 at the Texas Tai Kai. Throughout the years he has trained with many Japanese and non-Japanese Shihan (Muramatsu Sensei, O'Brien Sensei, Bathurst Sensei, Manaka Sensei, Noguchi sensei, etc). In August 2003 Glenn was honored by Maurantonio Shihan to be recommended for the Godan Shinsa (5th level black belt test) given by Hatsumi Soke. Later that year he received his approval for the Shidoshi Kai (Warrior Instructor Guild). He has written several articles for the KIHON newsletter. Catania Sensei is the Bujinkan New York Dojo's most senior student and close friend of his teacher.
The Nassau County (Long Island, NY) training is offered "old school style." Classes are held in normal attire at several different parks. This is the way Catania Sensei began his ninjutsu training in 1985. If you are interested in attending, please email us at CONTACT PAGE or call us at (914) 337-3339 [call Tuesday night from 7 to 10pm].
