Uke: Begins in Jodan no kamae.

Tori: Begins in Shizen with sword in saya.
Uke: Attacks with shomen giri.

Tori: Left thumb loosens tsuba from saya as right hand reaches for tsuka.
Uke: Continues attacks with right leg stepping forward.

Tori: Left hand rotates saya horizontal, while bringing it forward of the hip, right hand grasps tsuka and right foot steps out to right side.
Uke: As right foot begins to settle forward, sword tip extends while decending.

Tori: Right hand draws the tsuka forward as left hand pulls the saya backward.
Uke: As weight settles on front leg, sword tip cuts forward.

Tori: As right hand draws sword forward, left hand pulls saya to obi freeing the blade, and left hip slides back offline of his attack.
Uke: Cut continues to waist height

Tori: Executing a do giri (torso cut) and bringing the blade free on the opponent's body.
Uke: Falling to ground due to injury.


Tori: Zanshin.
